Multimedia Applications

What we mean by multimedia applications are programs that run independently of the Internet (although they may connect to it), usually from a CD/DVD-ROM or installed as software on a PC.

Their use can be extremely varied, from games to business diagnostic packages and language training. Such applications will incorporate an element of interactivity and audio/video, as well as graphics and text, hence the term "multimedia"
