Experience

Alan’s first experience of export marketing was travelling throughout Southeast Asia and the Far East as a product specialist for Wiggins Teape Ltd, a paper company in 1974. In the 1980’s Alan worked as Sales and Marketing Director for Thames Board Ltd, Unilever where he managed a team of sales agents throughout the world. He ran his own printing and marketing company throughout the 1990's. His first visit to China was to Chengdu for his honeymoon in 1985.

Alan’s has visited over 35 countries his knowledge of international marketing and his understanding of international sales and distribution is extensive. In the last 10 years he has built Metafocus into a successful global online marketing company.
